Today, here in Germany, kids get their halfterm report cards. After the most insanely different half year of school ever. Some of them will even be getting their first report cards ever.
Last year, a friend’s daughter got an additional report card along with the regular one from her teacher. I loved this idea so much, so I decided to make one for my kids on report card day.
I think it’s so important to teach kids, school grades are not what defines them as a person. And that they are valued for who they are, and for trying their best.
If any of you are teachers, maybe you want to consider handing out these additional report cards to the kids in your class.
