Ballerina & No-Sew Tüllrock/Tütü

Es gibt Kostüme, die kann man nur zu einem Anlass tragen, an einem Faschingsfest, eben als das, was sie darstellen.

Und dann gibt es Kostüme (oder Kostümbestandteile), die man einmal herstellt und die so wandelbar oder so vielfältig einsetzbar sind, dass sie eine Vielzahl von kindlichen Kostümwünschen Wirklichkeit werden lassen.
Meiner Erfahrung nach klappt das bei Mädchen allerdings etwas besser als bei Jungs… liegt wohl am Hang zu rosa , pink, Glitzer und der Fantasie, daraus alles werden zu lassen


There are costumes you can only wear on one or maybe two occasions. In one year (we luckily do the German carnival AND Halloween), as…well.. what they are.

And then there’s costumes – or costume components – that you make and can use for fullfilling  a variety of your kids‘ costume wishes.
In my experience, this works better with girls than boys…must be the thing they have with pink and glitter and stuff…and their imagination to turn anything including those features into virtually anything 😀

Daraus wird nämlich im Nu wahlweise eine [Liste entstammt der Aufzählung meiner Tochter und erhebt keine Liste auf Vollständigkeit]:

A No-Sew tulle skirt/Tutu!
Now, THIS is something you can pretty much instantly turn into any of these [list by my daughter and not necessarily complete]:

– eine Seiltänzerin
– a tightrope artist

– eine Ballerina
– a ballerina

– (mit Steckenpferd oder entsprechender Pferde-Fantasie:)
eine Pferde-Artistin (ja, wir haben das Thema Zirkus im Kindergarten 😉 )

– (if you add a hobby-horse or simply imagine a real one:) an equestrian artist (think: circus)

und dann gingen da noch:
– (mit Krone:) eine Prinzessin….

and you could also add a crown and make a princess…

…oder wahlweise mit Flügeln – oder auch Wischmop:
– eine (Putz-)Fee! Ha! 😀

..or, with a few wings – or a mop:
– a (cleaning) Fairy! Ha! 😀
