Was tut man nicht alles.

With Dragons-3 out, it was only a matter of time before one of my kids would ask for a lightfury costume.
Pretty shirt notice for Carnival, as usual, but – hey – why not?.
So I went to my own Nightfury / Toothless costume tutorial and set to work – because you can, of course, make this costume using white material 😉

Ich bin verliebt!
I’m absolutely in love!

The only change I made was that madame doesn’t have those head spikes toothless has, and she has fewer horns (=less work). But she has two lower tail wings, no prothesis like toothless has (=incredibly more exhausting to make and accomplished only with a massive amount of swearing). Everything else is the same as on the nightshade – so the costume is made up of three parts: a hoodie with the head, wings (detachable) and the dragon tail.

One thing this short notice request reminded me of, is that this tutorial of mine has been on the blog and very popular for 2 years now, but there’s no video tutorial on my youtube channel yet. So I decided to take care of that while making this costume 🙂
So if you still need to make a lightfury or a nightfury costume or toothless costume for carnival 2019 – make sure you subscribe to my channel on youtube, because the tutorial will be up there very soon:

In the meantime you can still find the free instructions for the costume, a free cutting file for toothless‘ head scales, a free pattern for the dragon tail and instructions on making a wing pattern and sewing those detachable wings on my blog, right here.

Several people have asked me, how they can show their appreciation for my free tutorials or patterns or how you can support my work. The fact that I receive these kind of questions alone, makes me really happy. Thank you for that!
Anyway, I thought I’d take the opportunity to post a quick answer to that here today.
There are several ways to do so:
– You can subscribe to my Youtube channel: https://goo.gl/VtkPxE
– You can LIKE mommymade’s facebook page: www.facebook.com/mommymadeDIY
Higher numbers of followers always enhance mommymade’s reach, which is very helpful 🙂
– On both platforms you can help by „like“ing mommymade posts that you like, or marking them with a heart or a laughing smilee. Specially on facebook that really helps when it comes to visibility and reach.
– You can buy materials you need for making something you found a mommymade-tutorial for by using an Affiliate Link or by clicking on a shop’s banner ad on my blog. I receive a small commission for sales made through said links or banner ads. The prices you pay for items bought through one of these links is no different to the prices you’d pay when accessing these webshops by tiping the URL into your browser.
– and, if you wish to do so, you can send me a small donation through Paypal.

So if you liked one of my tutorials here or on youtube, if my instructions helped you with one of your projects, if you’ve used one of my Freebies to make something wonderful that you kid loves and that got you a lot of „uuuh“s and „aaah“s, and you want to show your appreciation and support my work – I’m very happy about any one of said forms of support. And of course am always thankful for emails, pictures and / or Links to my pages on facebook or Instagram.
Thank you very much! :-*
